I’m alive and well. In case you wondered what was stopping me from posting recently, the answer is PE #289, PE #294 and now the most recent PE #304. The last one was really easy (I had fallen asleep right before it was posted 😉 and got to it the next day, still made it to the top 100 though), but the archival #289 and #294…. whoa they really gave me a headache. I’m really happy that I’m through with them now 😉 I’ve been giving some thought to the idea of writing a PE-specific C++ library and spotted an already existing solution by Lukasz Czerwinski – http://www.lukaszczerwinski.pl/my_euler.en.html. I’m going to have a look at it before I start reinventing the wheel 😉 The only thing I dislike about it so far is its set of dependencies, among them some C++0x features. I think it’s a huge overkill because PE problems are rather short and simple in general and bringing this whole machinery in seems just… inadequate. Anyway it’s cool that somebody thought of such library before me 😉
